Andreas Bick, composer and sound artist based in Berlin, Germany, writes about sound related things.
“I made this sound recording of a frozen lake in the winter of 2005/06 in the area around Berlin. Frozen lakes are known to give off most noise during major fluctuations in temperature: the ice expands or contracts, and the resulting tension in the ice causes cracks to appear.”
WatchFIAT LUX is a lamp whose switch levitates when the light is on. When the light is off, the switch is an autonomous sphere that can be stocked onto the lamp thanks to a magnet system. The user becomes an illusionnist by turning the lamp on, just by approaching the switch.
